Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)
A woman is trapped in a violently abusive marriage with her controlling husband. She meticulously fakes her own death in a boating accident to escape him. She builds a new life and identity in a different town, but just as she begins to find happiness and trust again, she realizes her husband has discovered she is still alive and is coming for her.
