Soodhu Kavvum (2013)
A seasoned, philosophizing small-time kidnapper leads a motley crew of amateur criminals. They decide to pull off a simple kidnapping for a quick ransom, but their plan goes hilariously awry when their victim reveals himself to be the son of a powerful, corrupt politician. The situation spirals out of control as the gang finds themselves in way over their heads, pursued not only by the police but also by the politician's ruthless henchmen. The film is a dark comedy of errors about a crime that becomes far more complicated than anyone anticipated.
