Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004)
Two brothers are forcibly drafted into the South Korean army at the outbreak of the Korean War. The older brother, a shoe-shiner, volunteers for the most dangerous missions in a desperate attempt to protect his younger brother and earn him a discharge. The brutal war tests their bond as the older brother's actions to save him transform him into a hardened and celebrated soldier.
