The 39 Steps (1935)
A Canadian man in London meets a woman who claims to be a spy. When she is murdered in his apartment, he becomes the prime suspect and must go on the run. He tries to clear his name by uncovering the secrets of a spy organization called "The 39 Steps," all while evading the police and the real enemy agents.
