The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
The story focuses on the final months of the infamous outlaw Jesse James. It is told through the eyes of Robert Ford, a young man who idolizes James and eventually joins his gang. Ford's hero worship slowly curdles into jealousy and resentment, leading him to plot the death of the man he once admired, in the hopes of achieving his own fame.
