The Balkan Line (2019)
During the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, a small group of Russian mercenaries is hired for a secret mission. Their objective is to take control of the Slatina Airport in Kosovo from the Serbian military and hold it against advancing Albanian forces until a contingent of Russian peacekeepers can arrive. The operation is a race against time, pitting the small unit against a much larger and determined enemy. The film is based on the real-life events surrounding the Russian seizure of the airport at the end of the Kosovo War.
