The Best of Enemies (2019)
In 1971 Durham, North Carolina, a contentious debate erupts over school integration. The city is forced to hold a charrette, a community meeting, to decide the issue. At the center are an outspoken civil rights activist and a local leader of the Ku Klux Klan. These two ideological opposites are pushed to co-chair the proceedings. Through a series of tense and difficult discussions, they are forced to see each other as human beings, challenging their deepest prejudices and revealing the possibility of change in the heart of the segregated South.
