The Commitments (1991)
An ambitious young Dubliner decides to form a soul band in working-class Dublin, despite the genre's obscurity in Ireland. He recruits a group of talented but rough-around-the-edges musicians, molding them into "The Commitments." The film follows their tumultuous rise as they struggle with ego, relationships, and the challenge of bringing soul to the people.
