The Evil Dead (1981)
Five friends travel to a remote cabin in the woods for a vacation. In the cellar, they find an ancient book and a tape recording that, when played, releases a host of demonic entities. These malevolent forces possess the vacationers one by one, turning them into murderous creatures and forcing the survivors to fight for their lives.
