The General (1926)
During the American Civil War, a Confederate train engineer, Johnnie Gray, is rejected for military service. When his locomotive, "The General," is stolen by Union spies who also kidnap his beloved, he pursues them single-handedly deep into enemy territory. His daring chase becomes a one-man rescue mission and a desperate attempt to warn his army of an impending attack.
