The Invention of Lying (2009)
In an alternate reality where no one has ever lied, a down-on-his-luck screenwriter suddenly develops the ability to say things that are not true. He uses this power to get what he wants, becoming famous and wealthy, but also accidentally inventing the concept of religion, which complicates his life.
