The Last Starfighter (1984)
A teenager frustrated with his life in a sleepy trailer park spends his time mastering a video game called Starfighter. His skills are put to the ultimate test when the game's creator, an alien navigator, recruits him to pilot a real starfighter in an interstellar war. He is thrust into a cosmic battle to defend a frontier world from an evil armada.
