The Mauritanian (2021)
A defense attorney agrees to represent a man who has been imprisoned by the U.S. government at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp for years without charge or trial. The prisoner, a Mauritanian man, claims he was tortured into making a false confession. The lawyer and her team fight a labyrinthine legal battle against immense government opposition to uncover the truth and secure his fundamental right to justice.
