The Mexican (2001)
A man is given one last criminal task to settle his debt: travel to Mexico to retrieve a legendary, and supposedly cursed, antique pistol. His erratic girlfriend, furious at being left behind, follows him and is subsequently kidnapped. His simple errand becomes a complex cross-border ordeal, forcing him to secure the priceless artifact while also trying to secure her release from a volatile kidnapper.
