The Monuments Men (2014)
During the final months of World War II, an unlikely platoon of art historians, curators, and architects is sent to the front lines. Their mission is not to defeat the Nazi army but to save centuries of culture from destruction. They race against time to locate and recover thousands of priceless artworks stolen by the retreating Germans, attempting to prevent the greatest treasure hunt in history from becoming history’s greatest cultural loss.
