A young woman answers an ad for an assistant's position at a decrepit funeral home run by a eccentric and ancient mortician. As part of her interview, he invites her to hear a collection of his most macabre stories. Each tale is a twisted horror vignette set in the same strange town, featuring bizarre deaths and ironic fates. The young woman listens with a skeptical ear, but as the stories unfold, she begins to see a dark pattern connecting them, leading to a final tale that hits closer to home than she could have imagined.
