The NeverEnding Story (1984)
A lonely boy escaping bullies hides in his school's attic and begins reading a mysterious book. The story tells of a magical land called Fantasia that is being consumed by a force called The Nothing. He becomes immersed in the tale of a young warrior chosen to stop the destruction, realizing his own role in the outcome of the fantasy.
