The Outsiders (1983)
In 1960s Oklahoma, the ongoing rivalry between two teen gangs, the working-class "Greasers" and the wealthy "Socs," defines life for the characters. The story focuses on a group of Greaser brothers and their friends, who are like family. After a night at the drive-in movies goes terribly wrong, a Soc is killed, forcing two of the brothers to go into hiding. The event escalates the tension between the groups, leading toward an inevitable and tragic rumble that will change all of their lives.
