The Postman (1997)
After a global war has decimated society, a wandering loner finds the uniform of a long-dead postal worker. To get a meal, he impersonates a postman, claiming to be from the "Restored United States." The simple lie sparks hope in a ravaged community, and he is reluctantly thrust into the role of a symbol for rebirth and connection, inspiring others to believe in the possibility of rebuilding civilization.
