The Road (2009)
A man and his young son journey on foot across a bleak, post-apocalyptic American landscape years after a cataclysm has destroyed civilization and most life on Earth. They are heading south towards the coast, carrying only a pistol for protection and a shopping cart of scavenged supplies. They must avoid roving bands of cannibals, find food and shelter, and sustain their hope in a world devoid of goodness, with the father striving to protect his son's innocence and humanity in a world that has lost both.
