The Flying Squad, an elite, hard-driving unit of the London Police known as "The Sweeney," uses old-school, sometimes brutal methods to tackle armed robbery. The team's veteran leader and his young protégé are put under investigation by Internal Affairs after a botched operation. While trying to clear their names, they must also track down a ruthless gang responsible for a series of violent heists. The investigation becomes personal, testing their loyalty and forcing them to operate outside the law to bring the criminals to justice.
