The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974)
Four armed men, using color-coded aliases, hijack a New York City subway car and hold its passengers for ransom. They demand one million dollars within one hour, or they will start killing hostages. The city's harried transit police lieutenant must negotiate with the calm, intelligent leader of the hijackers through the train's radio.
