The Trial (1962)
A bewildered bank clerk is abruptly arrested by anonymous agents for a crime that is never explained to him. He is forced to navigate a labyrinthine and irrational legal system, attempting to prove his innocence against an invisible accuser and an inaccessible authority. His futile struggle against the absurd and oppressive bureaucracy gradually consumes his entire life and sanity.
