The White Ribbon (2009)
In a Protestant village in pre-WWI Germany, a series of strange and violent accidents befall the residents. The town's children, subjected to their elders' harsh and punitive morality, seem to be at the heart of the mystery. The incidents expose the hypocrisy and repressed cruelty festering beneath the village's disciplined surface.
