A carnival arrives in the coastal town of Rochefort, and with it comes the possibility of romance. A pair of twin sisters who run a dance school, a sailor looking for his ideal woman, and a composer searching for his lost muse all find their lives and loves intertwining through a series of coincidences, all set to an infectious jazz score.
