Three Colors: Red (1994)
A young model in Geneva accidentally runs over a dog. She returns it to its owner, a reclusive, cynical retired judge who spends his time eavesdropping on his neighbors' phone conversations. An unlikely friendship forms between them, and through their conversations, she is drawn into his world of observed lives and forced to reflect on the nature of fate, chance, and human connection.
