To Strike (2013)
The film chronicles the true story of the 1980 Gdansk shipyard strikes in Poland, which led to the formation of the Solidarity trade union, the first independent labor union in a Soviet-bloc country. It focuses on the workers' courageous stand against the oppressive communist regime, their demands for better rights, and the historical negotiations that sparked a movement which would eventually contribute to the fall of communism in Eastern Europe.
