Toilet: A Love Story (2017)
Keshav, a man from a rural Indian village, falls in love with Jaya, an educated woman. After marriage, Jaya is shocked to discover the village has no toilets, and women are forced to practice open defecation before dawn. She leaves him, demanding a toilet as a condition for her return. Keshav's fight to build a toilet pits him against village elders, government bureaucracy, and deep-seated traditions, becoming a symbol of a larger social movement for sanitation and women's dignity.
