A teenager accidentally buys his first car, which turns out to be a sentient alien robot from a race called Autobots. He is drawn into an ancient war between the benevolent Autobots and the evil Decepticons, who are searching for a powerful energy source hidden on Earth. The fate of the planet rests on the shoulders of the boy and his robot friend. Traveling with his producer, he journeys across America, interviewing real people and immersing himself in the culture with his wildly offensive and ignorant behavior. His ultimate goal is to meet and marry Pamela Anderson, whom he believes represents the ideal American woman.
