Troop Zero (2019)
In rural 1970s Georgia, an eccentric young girl named Christmas Flint dreams of making contact with outer space. Her chance arrives when a national competition offers the winner a chance to have their voice included on NASA's Golden Record. To compete, she must form a Birdie Scout troop. She recruits a band of other misfit children, and they are helped by the town's outcasts. The group faces ridicule from the conformist community but perseveres, finding friendship and self-worth in their quest to reach the stars.
