Velvet Goldmine (1998)
In 1984 London, a journalist investigates the mysterious disappearance a decade earlier of a flamboyant, androgynous glam rock star, inspired by figures like David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The story is told through a series of flashbacks as he interviews those who knew the star, exploring the rise and fall of the glam rock era, its sexual revolution, and the personal cost of manufactured personas.
