WarGames (1983)
A young computer whiz accidentally hacks into a military supercomputer programmed to predict possible outcomes of nuclear war. He starts a game of global thermonuclear war, believing it to be a simulation. The computer, however, cannot tell the difference and begins to initiate very real war procedures.
