In Stockholm in the early 1980s, three teenage girls who feel like outsiders decide to form a punk band, despite having no instruments and no musical experience. Fueled by rebellious energy and a disdain for their conventional peers, they practice in a local youth center, writing songs about the things they hate, like gym class. Their friendship is tested as they navigate the complexities of adolescence, family issues, and their first crushes, but their shared passion for punk rock empowers them to loudly claim their place in the world.
