In a remote, isolated Lebanese village, a delicate balance exists between its Christian and Muslim inhabitants. The women of the village, tired of the men's religious squabbles, work together to maintain peace, especially with news of sectarian conflict from the outside world threatening to spill in. When a minor incident risks igniting violence, the women devise increasingly creative and comedic schemes—from faking miracles to hiring Ukrainian dancers—to distract the men and prevent their community from descending into the religious war that surrounds them.
