Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)

A bitter, aging academic and his wife return from a faculty party and begin a relentless verbal battle. Their night of heavy drinking is joined by a young, unsuspecting couple. The hosts proceed to manipulate and torment their guests, using them as pawns in their vicious psychological games. The evening descends into a harrowing expose of their fractured marriage, built on illusions, private pain, and the destructive stories they tell each other to survive.
